With Us They Roam
Bombs, raids, IED's
 Shatter hearts and families
Memorial Day will be here soon
 Clashing shots before early June
Flags upon flags are raised up high
While soldiers fight to live but die
 Another year has blown away
the pieces like shards of glass today
Fallen soldiers are free at last
Watching their halos burn from their past
 Honor, courage, bravery they sought
The large expanse of sand has fought
Burying its victims two inches deep
A heart of gold to forever keep
Trumpets sound while gunshots ring out
 Removing a family's hopeful doubt
Their son is gone, a brother away
Cousin to many, "goodbye" they say
Guardian angels who stood by our side
Who, in which, we could confide
Summer has arrived to dry our tears
This year may there be some cheers
For those who have returned back home
Once again with us they roam
