She was Told
Once so small, trying to hide
No strength inside but a dream to hold
Grasping faintly as time flew by.
But strong enough to hear what she was told
For her mother would say I love you so,
You're my beautiful darling she was told
Her mind thought how is that possible
I am not like that but as time flew by she tightened her grasp
On to the dream once forgotten
She now believed she was the girl her mother talked to long ago
She was strong and beautiful
She thought as she looked in the mirror
For this was her without the fear
