A Falling Star

is it a good idea
to catch falling stars?
while they flame in the night
and burn the fingertips
of the innocent
or the yearning.
it all just depends,
but life isn’t
dependable
it comes up
and swirls down
the cresting waves
of the ocean
they become so strong,
that the flame flickers
so sometimes I breathe
and sail,
sail away in my dreams.
