The Raven
Swiftly the raven soars,
It's jet black feathers reflecting the yolk colored moonlight.
Some say the raven is a symbol for death many have different feelings about the raven,
Some say. the raven is a cloth shielding the worlds eyes of stereotypes.
The raven is a black curtain of misery and despair,
Some try to obtain it, put it in a cage, lock it away.
But some believe the raven is jubilant, and resembles illuminating light,
The raven could be the tide teasing the sand as it grazes back, and forth on its surface.
The raven is god's gift to man,
The raven is a omen.
The raven calls blindly ignoring the signs of pain below the skyline,
But the raven can be a hymn a time of rejoice, and recompense.
To me the raven is lyric,
Scratchy at the start but once the music begins to play the iridescent joyful notes take over.
As the song plays your worries melt away like hot caramel sliding down a hill of chocolate ice-cream,
But at the end of the song the raven falls making the final decision of what it symbolizes, eternally.
