Every Action There's An Equal & Opposite Reaction (or so they say)
My love for you was scientific;
 I always liked art more.
 But you see, I think I get it now:
 you mix some reactants,
 get an explosion,
 and this is supposed to be good.
 Well babe,
 I mixed all my love
 and my hate,
 and bottled it up with some regret.
 You accidentally drank it,
 not knowing it was toxic
 and it killed all the hope you had left.
 And maybe I’d be sorry if I cared about anything,
 but you see,
 that accidentally burned up in a lab,
 one testing how much love I had left
 to give you;

 The results came back negative
 which is just as well,
 because love is overrated,
 anyway.
