Ex-Escapist
As I turn these pages
I find it hard to remember
How I ever stopped
Memories burst with worlds now lost
The escape, too far away
An Imprisoned life I sadly chose
Scenes so beautiful
They can not replicate
A thousand dreams imagined
Differ from reality
But a single dream is more powerful
Than a thousand actualities
Opening a book will lead
To a world beyond
Through darkness and the light
All that’s wrong in life
Is swept away
Away from this perfect place
It is our duty to escape this world
Little by little, I travel far
Deep into a place unknown
I follow the road that leads
Beyond the walls of the world
My dreams are not confined
Forever on, that place will exist
And though I am far away
The path is still there
Leading to a fantastic place
That world is what I miss
Now, a cage is how I live
