Mixed Feelings
The day we stopped being best friends,
Crushed me more than you’ll ever know.
Felt like taking a oven,
And burning it’s heart until there is nothing left.
You laugh now,
With your new stuck up friends,
Thinking that I’m pathetic for missing you.
But the truth is,
You were my true best friend.
The one who I went to,
In times of need or just because.
I truly wished you missed me too,
Then maybe one of these days I’ll be able to finally get over you.
Then you’ll be the pathetic one,
Reminiscing about the old days,
Just like I do,
Every once in a while.
