I eyed it as it slowly uses its
four legs to come across the green hairs
that were glued to the dirt. Its
head starts to face down as it chews aggressively from the
starvation that was held in throughout the whole day. Stepping
in a little bit closer for my eyes to adjust, it stopped and stood still.
I also stand like a statue for our eyes had
finally met for the first time.

The breaths I was taking is how
the sun would rise in the morning.
The brown creature with sharp bucks continued
to eat as if it dared to not notice my appearance.
My eyes then glanced at the floor to make
sure my path wasn't filled with sticks and stones
that could possibly create some sort of distracting sound
for it to run off.

My right arm slowly found itself grabbing
a hold of my rifle. The sound of my heart was so loud
that I was sure it could hear me. My squinted eye was attached
to the circular device that was held above my rifle to get a perfect
aim. I squinted harder so I could focus on my opponent
to make sure it wouldn't get away this time.
This feeling in my stomach was similar to the feeling
of someone being pressured to cut
wires from stopping an explosion.

I let one go and turned away.
Birds flew above the ground and into the sky
as I wait for it to get back up.

I stared at the area the creature once stood and
A grin suddenly appeared on my face.
I knew I did not fail this time because
the hairs that were once green,
turned into a shade of red.
