A Season So Subtle

Gah!
Came the yelp
from the
bathroom
It was a typical
sticky–summer day
Waking-Swimming-Showers–then a movie
Cool dark basement
Dazy peace pierced by
Panic running out of the bathroom
“There was a wasp in my pants!”
Terror, Solace
Stirred in his eyes
We sprawled on the floor
Tearing
from Joy
At our friend’s bewilderment.
