Taking a Picture
Standing behind the camera
Looking through the lens
Observing the scene
Will this terrible weather go away?
The trees dance sloppily as the wind blows
The birds tweeting in the tall trees won't stop
Gray clouds full of rain drown the sky
How can I take the perfect picture with this disaster in the way?
The thunder roars like lions bothered at the zoo
Lightning jumps out of the sky like giant flashes from God's camera
The storm ruins my photograph
Where is the sun so I can take my picture?
The sun is no where to be found.
Perhaps there is something good about this rain
Something positive
Something useful from it
Maybe the picture will work
As the puddles grow into lakes lining the street
The rhythm of the drops creates peace
Aromas of the rainfall freshen my mind
Maybe the photo won't be as bad as I thought
The trees swaying in the breeze have gracefulness to them
The birds chirping create a soothing melody in my head
As the thunder pounds in the sky my heart is shaken by the unique sound
Maybe there is beauty to this rainy day
Maybe beauty can be found from this disaster
