Invasion

May 15, 2013

She tries to live in the present
Yet the past always invades her mind
She remembers every detail
Few let her escape
That’s all she wants to do
She wants the empty mind
The silly laughter
The dorky drama
The friends
The perfect relationship with the perfect guy
And yet, every detail
Invades her mind
From then,
Till everyday

She knows the truth
Yet she still wants to escape.

This poem represents what I personally have been through; being the victim of a felony is no easy thing to deal with and in most of my poems, this one included, I try to show that.
