I Have Dreams Too
Everyone has a dream
Some want to make it big
Some want to make it small
Small people want to get tall
Tall people want to get small
Some want to rock
Some want to become the next Spock
Many want to make the skies grey
Many want to save the day
Some want to enforce the law
Others want to find the pieces of that dead shark from jaws
Many want to find Nessie
Many want to star in a logo for Pepsi
People often ask me
What do you want to be?
Do you have a dream?
Well Duh!
I always answer the same thing
I have not one wish
But I do have many small ones.
I want to be like Obi-wan.
A Jedi to be more exact.
I want to run with the wolves.
Be part of the pack.
I want to fly to the moon.
And the stars.
I want to see what spring is like on
Jupiter and Mars.
I want to ride a whale.
Paint the dark.
Punch a shark.
I want to make someone smile.
Jump in a hay pile.
But most of all
When people ask
I say, I want to make a change
Make this world a better place
Make it one where no one fights
And no one is to blame.
So there are my dreams.
Although they may seem weird.
I don’t care.
