Oh what a wonderful world we live in!
Where every man is happy and free.
How I adore you
Oh America,
And all the wonder you’ve shown me.
You’ve had men in chains.
Half of a nation seceded on the plains.
Enemies in England and France.
Planes colliding,
Towers crashing,
Yet every year you jump up and dance.
Oh how great America you are.
There are no children left on the streets.
Your stance on immigration,
Is really quite the sensation,
And for that America you deserve a treat.
America the Beautiful,
The Home of the Brave,
Where every day one man, woman, or child,
Is in danger of being sent to their grave.

This piece is a satire about the ironies that lie beneath the wonder that is America. Our country is marketed as the "Home of the Free" though not everything is as it seems. I hope that people read this poem and understand the truth about America.
