Green.
Blank green
or maybe not so blank.
Texturized and dotted with little bursts of color.
That’s all grass is.
The red leaves catch my surprise
Especially in my mountain Spring
Little Japanese Maple
The faded crimson glints
It does not conform to our seasons.
(Kinship?)
Little rebel.

I happen to notice a little Japanese Maple tree growing up in my yard. I like it.
