Losing the Beauty
Here is a rose that stands with the rest
Here is a rose that doesn’t look its best
This rose is ugly, shriveled, and bent
It’s lost its leaves and beautiful sent
It leans and looks down at the ground and the dirt
Its color reflects all that it has been hurt
Its petals are wrinkled and curling from age
It’s lost its glow of the bright red as rage
Its stem turns yellow with immense thirst
Out of the whole garden this rose looks the worst
Jealous of the rest who are fair as the sky,
This rose needs to be cared for or else it’ll die.

I was inspired to write this poem when i was thinking about myself and so many girls with low self esteem.
