Music blaring from scratched and dented convertibles,
Black smoke rising from the exhaust.
Small white powder-filled bags switching hands on the burn-your-feet pavement.
Tenements with broken A/C filled to the brim.
Sun burning faces while the steamy breeze blows in warm summer showers,
Drenching the world in wildflowers and fresh-cut grass.
