When the evidence broke her
The wall that protected her heart shattered
No one had seen her but me
Breaking down sounds
It appears powerless
To keep it covered she sewn her door
Unrecognizable
I’m afraid other material discussed
Has killed what she knew
Before this nobody tried the right form of silence
The sound returns
No one answered
Knowing some change inside
He made the phone call
I worried that she had given up on herself
Deep breaths to stay still like stone
Curl up where no one can see

In my creative writing class, we did a blackout poem on a page in the Lovely Bones.
