Memories of You
In the back of my mind,
Is where you linger
I dream of you,
I think of you,
Remembering when,
Thinking why,
And wondering how.
The time I watched you
Smack! Your face hit the ground.
Oh mom,
How I miss you.
Crack! You broke three of your toes.
Bam!
You slid into the window.
At the beach,
We lay there,
Listening to only the sounds of the pure blue water,
Swish, splish, splash.
Not really meaning much to me,
But your presence is what kept me calm,
Remembering when,
Crash! You threw me into the water.
As our toes Splished and splashed through the water,
We sit there smiling.
Smack!
I was pulled back to reality,
And now,
The back of my mind is where you linger,
I dream of you,
I think of you,
Remembering when,
Thinking why,
And remembering how things used to be.
