The Contrast of Yellow and Gray

Sometimes I’m Aureolin yellow,
smiling broad and laughing loud,
feeling careless and wild, running free.
When I’m Aureolin yellow,
happiness fills me.
But other times, I’m dull gray.
Stress and responsibility reducing me to muted tones.
Mouth unopened and barely there,
gray steals my hopeful soul.
