You Can and Will
I was born with my father anon
his life seemed gone
what was left was a document of his qualities
that formed my insecurities
just a packet of papers
but now it's 14 years later
and sitting along side me
are my fellow students awaiting the long journey
through high school, college, and the rest of our lives
there will be things that stab us in the back like knives
my whole life I had to fend off words
we can fly and be birds
we can use the unknown by others tosoar and reach our dreams
the bar is set so high
past all the clouds in the sky
there is no limit when it comes to our future
only one thing stands in our way, the voice in our heads that says loser
it will try to take control, convince us that we're not good enough
but no, we are tough
we can do anything we set our minds to
these words are true
so follow them and remind yourself when anyone tells you otherwise
you can and will do it.
