Divided
They were opposites-
 like black and white.
 Like warm and cold,
 or fear and might.
 
 He liked the spring-
 it was baseball season.
 She liked the fall-
 for a different reason.
 
 She watched the colors
 as the leaves were falling.
 She sat there wondering,
 admiring, drawing. 
 
 And he didn't notice things like her-
 like shutter speeds and aperture,
 but she made him giddy, nervous, excited,
 and that's what kept them from being divided.
