In a Second

In a second I can glimpse
the most important person in my life.
In a second I can hear
the harsh whistle of a train.
In a second I can taste
a sweet crème brulee.
In a second I can feel
the push of the wind against my skin.
In a second I can smell
the soft petals of a flower.
In a second I can smile. In second I can laugh.
A second can bring me joy, that I’ve never known before.
I won’t ever let my seconds pass by uncared for.
