Amazing Karen
Whenever I hear the song titled Amazing Grace
I close my eyes and picture her beautiful smiling face
Sitting on her lap and drifting off to sleep as she sings a lullaby to me and only me
Telling stories to the children as they listen with baited breath
Lightly kissing our cheeks as she tucks us into bed
She passed away from Cancer in 1999
I swear I’ll never forget those loving caring eyes
Her beautiful blonde hair shines bright just like the sun
She brought into the world a sense of love, life, and fun
At this very moment she’s an angel up in heaven
But no angel compares to my Amazing Karen
