i whispered in the sunlight,
arms wrapped around my knees and
gazing pitch-black inward

"why can't you find yourself?"
right? that's the strong thing to do
stand on my own, say
"i don't need anyone"

but i don't want to be strong
i think
i just want to be lost with you
