Rose Petals Torn
It isn't fair for life to throw your love into the veins of another only to tear them away, tear your love away. You recognize their voice in a crowd. You find it impossible to find anything that tastes quite as good as they do. You memorize the shape of their lips and the curve of their body. You can't get enough of them, but then you don't get any of them. You have to think back to find happiness. Try to remember the warmth in between their fingers. Imagine the way their eyelashes tickled your cheeks and the way the breathed up against your chest. Flash back to the sound of their heart and the way you couldn't look away from the sapphires in their eyes. You hold on to the way your fingers felt, weaved into their hair. Go back to the way your heart didn't rest since you met eyes with them. But then you realize, your heart is still tingling with a passion bigger than the sun.
