Connected Heartstrings
I think that, when you really fall in love with someone, it isn't because of the way they treat you or the things they do for you. I think you really fall in love with the little parts of them that nobody else notices. Like how they hold out the "s" sound a fraction of a second longer than most people or how they get nervous when they talk about them self. You admire how their nails are always chewed down as short as they can and how, when the skies are dark, their eyes seem to glisten the same color as their hair in the moonlight. Each person is home to a system of mining tubes filled with tarnished pebbles and jagged stones. But, when two people are meant for each other, they venture into even the darkest corners of one another, all the while turning their rubble into diamonds. The perfect balance of all things important. The ability to fuse two hearts into one.
