Their Particles
When you are submerged in water, your body
makes itself a mold within the trillions of atoms
and particles characterizing H2O. There is no
escaping the water once you are under. You
are its embrace, its parasite bobbing, sinking, and kicking
to see the surface. Am I
suffocated by the atmosphere here
around me? Because this water above is
environment, will I sink, will I bob, will I
kick my way to escape
my predestined drown
in the mold of their posters, or is there
a hole in that portion where you are? If you are,
then you do not belong to the water, but it thinks
you do. I can swim away, out of their particles
and atoms surrounding my me. They can not
take me, for I am a germ in their waters, because I am not
them.
