Daisy hated J Gatsby
Pick a personality, because it’s free,
Make your life similar to J Gatsby.
Fall in love, make it tough,
Disappear for a year,
Then return to make your affections clear.
She’s a loss, for what cost?
You’ll die for love,
As for her remorse, we’ll never be sure.
Daisy was pure, she made his heart fly.
She had him wrapped up,
Around her finger of lies.
Lust led to betrayal,
Betrayal to remorse,
Neither knew what the were fighting for.
God in the sky, he watched everything
That billboard up high, his secret following.
But where is the truth held, in that dirty little town?
Like a nasty floor,
Holding up higher ground.
Young love was a game,
And Jim left her bruised.
Gatsby was pure,
By Daisy he was used.
But who is this man?
The man they refer to as J,
Parties all night, from across the bay.
Gatsby he is called,
But who he really is we don’t know.
He dies,
Oh joy, the funeral of sorts,
Does she arrive?
Not, of course.
The beautiful pitiful girl we adore,
In the end becomes the whore.
The one at fault for the murder,
While she survives, as the usurper.
