I am going.

7.
Reminiscing on the joyful memories and moments created in this house.

9.
as it stops in front of my house.
10.
As the last of our belongings are being placed in the truck, I feel a few tear
11.
drops like tiny raindrops fall from my eyes as the realization sets in that
12.
this is truly goodbye.
13.
The torturous car ride from Florida to Illinois puts everyone on edge.
14.
Nerves and excitement are not a good combination.
15.
Finally, we arrive at this new place we will call home.
16.
Opening the front door for the first time is like opening a present on
17.
Christmas, I couldn’t wait to see what was inside.
18.
Days pass of lonely solitude, unpacking box after box.
19.
At school the initial nerves and loneliness of being the new kid pass as
20.
new friends come and go into my life like changing seasons.
21.
The line of what had been and what is becomes blurred and I learn
22.
to eventually call this new place home.
23.
Although the memories I once had never fade,
24.
new ones are created, but then once again,
25.
I am sat down and told the news; we need to do it all over again.
26.
Like a remote control stuck on rewind, here I am again;
27.
Home sweet home.
