For You
A dream, to me you appeared like a dream
A fleeting moment, there then you were gone
Memories flood me in a constant stream
As clear as that day, though you're now long gone
Phantom arms cling harder, warming my heart
The warmth of which I haven't felt in years
For even though you're more than worlds apart
I feel you holding me to drown my fears
Your smile, a schoolboy grin that made my day
Now burns my soul with thoughts that cannot be
Those days have faded, long since passed away
Our paths were crossed but you have forgot me
Why do I only know what bring me pain
When seeing you could make me smile again
