Seven Ways of Looking at a Grape

On a thick green vine
Lies a cluster of dark red grapes,
Its defense weak against the wild.

Rain comes down in large clusters,
Dispersing when it hits the ground,
Separating in every direction.

Atoms in any object
Are connected with a strong bond,
A bond that can only be broken
With force.

Hopes and Dreams come and go,
Difficult to achieve,
Difficult to obtain,
But easily crushed
With a flick of a wrist.

A town,
Branching off from a main street.
Other streets
Yield more houses and stores,
Connected to the main street.

A family tree diagram,
Full of beaming pictures,
Starting from a common Ancestor,
And branching out in every direction.

Pilot fish surrounding a shark,
Herds of small fish surrounding
One dominant creature,
Like armor against the relentless ocean.

A network of connections
All leave
One spot.
Close friends lead to other friends.
Other friends lead to acquaintances,
And acquaintances lead to more connections.
