I Am From
I am from
The summer months with kids congregating
Plying games between the yards
Camping out beneath the stars
In a tent or on the ground
Watching meteors fly around
Lazy days by the pool, hiking or biking before it gets cool.
I am from
The winter nights cold and clear
An open flame with hotdogs roasting
The hope of snow fills the air
Until finally, finally it is here
Snow covers everything only once or twice a year
I am from
Spring days filled with the green and growing things
Cool and clear, warm and wet,
Flowers scent the air and fill the Earth
With coughing sneezing and itchy eyes
Allergies will make sure everyone cries
I am from
Fall times where the weather chills
Grren turns to red and gold
School begins, filled with paper and pens
Friends meet again and introductions are made
While slowly the light slips away
As seasons cycle and we change
Memories of home and friends
This is where I am From
