One by One
Her voice drips with poison,
as she stutters her last goodbyes.
She's scared and alone,
in a world full of hate and lies.
In her left hand she holds her water.
In her right she has the pills.
On the counter is a letter,
signed and dated as a reminder.
One by one,
she pops them in.
Two by two,
she forgets the names.
Three by three,
her senses fade.
Four by four,
she drops to the floor.
Five by five,
it's their fault
she's not alive.
