Alcatraz
This island has been conquered
by the few it held
and will forever be remembered
as the one that fell.
This escape has caused a problem
in society as a whole.
Proving you can do terrible wrongs
and be free to sin again.
Crossing a path of despair
can force the life out of people,
but for these men
it only revived a sense of life.
A life they were not ready to let go of,
forced them to exhaust an escape.
They wanted the freedom that waited,
but they did not want to wait.
They escaped.
The fear has left them.
They no longer fear anything in life.
The fear that prison had
has ceased to fear at all.
