We meet on the football field
Defined by measures and distance
Some say it is only a game
But it is more
So now its no longer just about me
I am part of a family
With a greater purpose
They depend on me, as I do them
We have different purpose
That we need to perform to win
Our opponents plan against us
They have a similar purpose
Only with a different outcome
It is with in this battlefield
Where ones characters revealed
And trust is established
We are one
Win or lose
