The Other Her
Everyone talks about her
Some say she even looks like me
I want to meet her
Even a quick glimpse would do
Sometimes I feel her behind me
I hear her jagged breaths and warring footsteps
Lost into the world of what lies at my heels
Close enough to be known, but far enough to remain unseen
During the day she makes me bitter and cold
While asleep she creeps into my head and tampers with my dreams
I just want a moment to talk
To understand her and her ways
I want to tell her that everything will be fine and she can go free
But some say I have to ponder inward before I can venture outward
