My Mind
My mind is blank,
there are several open spaces
waiting for my thoughts to be written. They are organized
by lines, flowing from one notion to the next.
Sometimes, my mind is overwhelmed,
filled with an abundance of ideas.
When I fear I'll run out of room,
I simply turn over
the page.
I can dream in color, or
I can dream in black and white.
I could inscribe an entire novel
in my mind with all of the thoughts I've had in my lifetime.
Each idea is a new
chapter. Yet, they all connect
in the book of my life. I continue
to record my ideas until I reach...
"The End."
