Empty face
Time to
give up
No tear or
cry
Just an empty
Dry
Laugh

Mom
In
her room
Dark curtains
Closed
Young
but already
Too old

Sister
is gone
House was
too cold

He said
he would stay

Empty pocket
Empty heart

What
is
The point?
Not going
to win

His mom
And
his sister

Just
Distance
themselves

He tried
More than
Expected
Wishes he could
Give up
Laugh
Walk away

But instead
he
Laughs
again
Dry and
Empty
Then slowly
he
Gets up
Makes dinner
And curses himself

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Your meter is different but I think I like it. In the first lines I like the "Empty face" and then directly after that you mention "time" it's like we're talking about clocks and it's time to give up. I'm a little confused about what it's about though. I'm not the greatest at understanding poetry.
