Why does rain drop?
Why does snow fall?
If anything rain hurtles
That fat three dimensional tear sprints toward the pavement
Outside and hits it causing a satisfying “smack”
If anything snow flutters
It twists this way and that
Trying to avoid its fate
Of melting and fading
We are snowflakes afraid of death
We need to embrace the inescapable
We need to be more like rain, and just drop
