Drifting down to my ears,
soft as fleece,
bold as today,
strong as forever.
I sit, encased by it.
husky and soft,
Loud, but never hateful.
Sad, but never depressed.
Angry, but never cruel.
How could it be?
I sit, the soft call stays.
‘Til my thoughts race, head spins.
then it stops, and I return.
To the hard, cold world.

The author's comments:
I wrote this on a camping trip called SYSTEMS, I'm not fully sure what it's really about. It's a love poem, it's about falling in love with a voice. I think that's something a lot of girls can relate too, wether it's a celebrity's voice, or someone in their life. For me, this isn't about a celebrity's voice, but it's easy to relate too.
