The Beach is My Poem
My foot steps into the water.
The coldness sends tingles to my spine.
Freezing, yet satisfying.
I stand and feel the waves coming down upon me.
As the water retreats, I feel the sand escaping my toes.
I'm at peace.
All I feel is serenity.
Another wave crashes, breaking the silence, the calm.
I scream as water hits my back.
Cue the laughter.
I feel happy, blissful.
This is my home.
The feeling of nostalgia leaves.
I need not think of memories,
As I am already reliving them.
I become cold.
There is a taste of salt water in my mouth.
My feet leave the water, and enter the sand.
The sand that embraces me with it's warmth.
I breathe in, and close my eyes.
The beach is my poem.
