They whisper and stare
Assume they know all
Think they can read us like books
We may dance in a crowd
Yet their stares pin us down
Speculation without any proof
One friendly smile
Flips the world upside down
To them it's some sort of crime
A slow dance or two
Think they know what is true
They can chatter with gossip for hours
So just dance one more dance
Let their jaws hit the floor
We are the ones who know the truth
