Sweet Tragedy
Mrs. Pinto came home from buying gifts.
She got her son Jack a wrestling doll.
The one he’s been begging for, for months.
It was almost Christmas.
He was 6 years old,
A sweet little boy, with light brown hair
And the biggest brown eyes.
She could never say no to him.
The phone rang but her hands were full.
She didn’t rush. How important could it be?
She didn’t know the answering machine
Would leave her so broken.
Seems there’s been a shooting in an elementary school.
In little Sandy Hook.
They hadn’t yet found her son, Jack, yet.
He was only six years old.
