'Teacher'
You call yourself an English teacher,
but today we did poetry.
You tell us to use similes,
but what if nothing compares to how we feel?
You give us an outline,
but my thoughts do not fit your structures.
You expect us to be happy,
but all I write is sad.
If i write 'happy' i get an A+,
because my happy is the cheap crap your teaching us.
When I write me,
it's wrong.
So tell me what do you want?
Me, or happy.
I can do either,
but i will only be proud of one.
