You and I
Here we sit you and I,
Protecting each other from life's wrathful power,
By chance we found each other on one silent winter's night,
Now life is perfect for us,
Hold me tight through the storm,
Until the morning's light is revealed to the world,
For now there is no one else besides you and me,
Protect me as I will protect you from the world's judgemental stare,
Fight as I do for our right to love,
Make all who try to tear us apart understand,
Run away with me,
Experience life the way two lovers should,
Free and not doused by the views of society,
And if they find us,
Die with me,
Because only in death will we find safety,
The freedom to love
