An End Will Never Come
Is this not easy enough,
since she’s given up the fight?
Did that make you feel tough,
seeing what you did last night?
She curls up into a ball,
but that won’t stop the pain.
You push her against the wall,
her tears begin to fall like rain.
She cleans up the blood,
and covers the bruises.
The bat comes down with a thud,
and you tell her one of your excuses.
You are never the one to blame,
you tell her it’s all her fault.
She believes you which is a shame,
an end will never come to this assault.
