i lie here with my imperfections
i lie here with all my sins
yet i dont fear my transgressions
i rejoice in the ink of my pen
i dont shy from tomorrows lessons
cuz i think i finally learned one
what it means to be human
and the state that we all live in
i think ill allow those tears to fall
that i so earnestly tried to hold in
and i think ill keep my soreness and scars
stop rubbing oitment on them
ill smile when im happy
and have serenity when upset
i think ill run a little harder
and not fear my hair getting wet
its all part of being human
i only get one chance so i want to address
this life with a little charisma
and live without a single regret.
