Under The Stars
I lay there, drowned in my dreams
lost in my silence.
There is no wind, just cold mist being inhaled with every deep smooth breath I take.
I open my eyes to a blanket of blackness freckled with short cuts that lead to heaven.
They shine a perfect white light, far more pure than the average sight.
I hear the moon, she whispers to me in a slow, soft, peaceful whisper.
In my flooded mind I know I must go, and sometime the sun must replace the moon for its fair share of time on earth, but not in this moment.
In this perfect moment I have no worries, I am free from the wrong, free from the world, free from the sorrow.
Under the stars I am calm until tomorrow.
