Desire
Never has the thought of electricity been so sweet
I crave to let my nerve endings greet a jolt
And let my curiosity filled mind meet
These gorgeous, surging volts
However, Mr. Franklin has no gift to gift me
Nor does an electrical engineer
Because orthodox electricity is not what I seek
What I crave is held by a lone dear
Not a prize gifted by the hands of men, no
What I need is far from concrete
I know these simple, cryptic concepts I will never hold
But I may still receive this lovely treat.
May I share it with you here?
I would love to keep it to myself.
To let it rest between my ears
And gift it to none else.
The thoughts that dance around your mind
Jumping and gliding in the form of electricity
Bring curious ones flooding into mine.
How I would die to know what you are thinking.
