I Remember.
You made me who I am today
A child with nothing but pain
I remember your face
When it turned red
I remember the beatings
Even when I wasn’t bad
I still have scares
Up and down my legs
I still have memories
Printed across my face
They remind me I am strong
Even when I am weak
That I can keep going on
Even when I have nothing to motivate me
Someday I will let go
But when is something we will never know
So now I’m going to say goodbye
Because you’re not worth the times I’ve cried
Now I can finally breathe
And maybe even get some sleep
